| Q: |
What is the FJNE Northeasters Run? |
| A: |
The FJNE is a 4x4 wheeling event for Toyota FJ Cruiser Owners from the Northeast part of North America. However if you own a different model Toyota (4Runner, FJ40,55,60,80,Rav4, or Yaris) how could we possibly turn you away! |
| |
|
| Q: |
Who's behind this |
| A: |
A few FJ owners who believed that the Northeast should have it's own big event. Don't take us wrong here, we have nothing against FJ Summit but realistically, for many people in the Northeast the distance is just too long to make it possible to go to Colorado. |
| |
|
| Q: |
Why are you doing this? |
| A: |
Just read the previous FAQ ;) |
| |
|
| Q: |
Why did you choose Rausch Creek |
| A: |
Because it's there, it's nice and it's available all year long. They have hosted this before and there is something for everyone from Beginner to Advanced. |
| |
|
| Q: |
Come on guys ! Easter week-end ? Why are you asking me to spend Easter away from my family. |
| A: |
We realize that many of you like to spend Easter with your families but we needed a long week-end. We want to make this event as big as possible so we need to give people enough time to get to PA. Many people will travel more than 500 miles for this event, we couldn't in our right mind ask them to travel 2 days (Down to PA and back home) for a few hours of wheeling. Doing this on a long week-end will guarantee everyone at least 2 full days of fun in the trails. |

|
| Q: |
How much is the registration ? |
| A: |
The registration fee is $65. That is for 1 person (Usually the truck owner/driver) and gives a T-Shirt, a coupon for a "All you can eat" meal on Saturday night and one official sticker. You can buy more of these item during the registration process. Saturday Nights dinner will also have a Raffle for some very nice prizes from our sponsors! |
| |
|
| Q: |
Is there any other charges ? |
| A: |
Yes, the fee described above is for the FJNE, it does not include access to the trails. Rauch Creek is a 1700 acres park that has over 50 miles of trails for all levels of drivers. These trails are built and maintained by a group of nice people, they have to get the money somewhere to pay for all this. (See Next FAQ for more). |
| |
|
| Q: |
So what are the access fees to the park ? |
| A: |
First of, every visitor of age 16 and up must become a member of the park. This membership costs 10$ and is valid for a full year from the date you become a member.
The daily enterance fee is 35$ for the vehicle and driver and $5.00 for each passenger of age 16 and up. The $5.00 will be waived off for passengers on the day they become a member (when they pay their $10.00$). There is no discount or amount waived off the driver and vehicle on the first day. Rausch Creek offers a 5 time use pass. Good for 5 days of wheeling at the park for $150. This is an excellent opportunity for those of us who attend multiple events or visit the park a couple times a year.

| |
|
| Q: |
Are you guys making any money with this ? |
| A: |
Absolutely not. Nobody is getting paid for his/her involvement in organizing the event. All profits (if any) will be given to a charity of our choice. FJNE donated $3000 to charity in 2010! |
| |
|
| Q: |
How do I pay you ? |
| A: |
We can take checks, money orders and Paypal payments. When you register you will receive an email with the instructions to make your payment. |
| |
|
| Q: |
What's the deadline for the registration. |
| A: |
Your registration payment must be received no later than April 4th, 2011. |
| |
|
| Q: |
What if I want to register after April 4th 2010? |
| A: |
Too bad buddy, you'll just have to hurry up next year.......of course we're kidding. (Gotcha !). We will not refuse registration received after the deadline. You must understand however that we need to place the order for the t-shirts long enough in advance to make sure we have them on time. If you register past the deadline, we will only charge you 35$ . We will order a few extra shirts and decals that will be available to buy at the park during the event. |

|
| Q: |
What about this meal ? Tell me more please. |
| A: |
We've reserved the "Scholl Family Restaurant" for Saturday night where you can get a "All you can eat" meal with your coupon. Of course you'll have to pay for your drinks and anything else you order. They offer free meals for children from 0-5 and meals at $7.50ea for children 5-10. The coupon that comes with your registration is for one person only, you must buy extra meal tickets at $13.00ea for any other person older than 10 if they want the "All you can eat" meal. |
| |
|
| Q: |
Do I have to buy these coupons to go to the dinner. |
| A: |
No you don't. This is a regular restaurant, you can order whatever you want and pay for it if you are not interested in the "All you can eat" meal. |
| |
|
| Q: |
So how is this whole thing gonna work when I get there ? What do I do ? Where do I go ? Who do I talk to ? |
| A: |
Don't panic. We got everything under control. The full schedule of the event along with the procedures to follow to get your FJNE package when you get to Rausch Creek will be published very shortly (Our Webmaster needs a break ;)) |
| |
|
| Q: |
I have a question that is not answered here, who do I contact ? |
| A: |
Use the "Contact" link in the top menu to send an email to one of the organizers. |
| |
|
| Q: |
Is this a one shot deal or is it gonna be Annual |
| A: |
Yes, this will be the FJNE signature event to be held each year. At this time we are looking to push it a little forward to get into more comfortable weather but the Toyota Trail Teams schedule usually governs when we have the event. |
| |
|
| Q: |
This seems like a lot of work, are you guys out of your mind ? |
| A: |
Yep ! |
| |
|
| Q: |
How can you do all this and still have time for a life ? |
| A: |
Life? Whazzat ??? |
| |
|
| Q: |
Were these last two questions really asked frequently ? |
| A: |
Maybe they were, maybe they were not, we're the only ones who know that. |
